Do you have good luck on Ebay? If not, maybe you're just not trying hard enough. The key is to use the tools that are free and to KEEP TRYING!!! Did you know that most items I've sold have sold with ONLY 1 bid! If you see a bargain, bid on it! Don't walk away thinking that prices are going to go up. It's my experience that they often don't. I've gotten great dresses for one dollar! New. If you've got a Paypal account and a little extra time, go ahead and try for a bargain. You may just win something great. When should you bidfor the best deal? Most bids take place during the final 8 hours of an auction. Many times activity is highest during the final minutes. How do you deal with that last minute feeding frenzy? The main goal is to set a limit for yourself. At what price is this item a real BARGAIN? Do I only want the item if it's a great deal? Or do I really need this item and want to try to get it at a higher, reasonable price? Ebay offers a great proxy bidding process. And even though it can be fun to try to "steal" something at the last minute, you do not need to get caught up in a bidding war. If you do, you will almost always spend more than you'd like to. Make your first bid. And then bid again at the MAXIMUM you feel good about spending. Hopefully you'll get a great bargain. If not, you can find almost everything at a reasonable price at another time! Also be aware of reserve prices. Many sellers list items for almost nothing to get increased site traffic, but set reserve prices that may be a lot more inline with the actual prices for other similar items. Spending a lot of time getting excited about these reserve price auction items can really distract you from the bargains on site that you may actually be able to win! Remember the old saying that if things look too good to be true they usually are???? Finally, be sure to compare prices with shipping costs included. Ebay is great about adding those calculations when sorting items for comparison. So many sellers list items for almost nothing, but add on to prices by adding to reasonable shipping costs. What they don't always do is examine combined shipping opportunities. If reasonable shipping costs can be reduced even further, you might be looking at some REAL bargains when shopping with a good reliable seller. Good luck and keep bidding!
